Tina: This motor oil case is still really slippery.
Jack: Yeah, time for more coffee!
Tina: Sure, why not? I think I want a chocolate chip cookie, too.
Jack: By the way, I heard Kitty's just got in a shipment of Jamaican Blue Mountain.
Tina: So what?
Jack: It's only the rarest coffee in the world! Didn't your momma teach you anything when you were growing up?
(In the Kitty Café, ordering at the counter)
Tina: Barista, I'll have a frappuccino.
Jack: What a girly drink. I'll take a bag of the Blue Mountain and a decaf breva...
Tina: You and your fancy Italian names.
Jack: Isn't "frappuccino" Italian too? (to barista) ...and heat me up a panini.
Tina: (To barista) I'll be fine with just my girly drink, thank you very much.
Jack: I'll stick with real coffee.
(Sitting around the coffee table)
Tina: I know why Mr. Fro didn't like our ad idea! He doesn't know the first thing about coffee.
Jack: True. I always see him drinking instant.
Tina: Let's make him some of Kitty's best and make the pitch again.
Jack: Do you think that will be enough to make him have a change of heart?
Tina: It's worth a shot.

讲解：

1. Jack和Tina还在为机油的广告创意发愁，因为他们想出的机油创意没有被客户接受。Tina说This motor oil case is still really slippery. 这个机油的广告案还是很棘手。slippery 原来的意思是“滑溜溜的”，在对话中表示“棘手的”，是一个双关语，因为机油本身就是滑溜溜的，这个广告方案又很棘手。

2. slippery还可以表示“人狡猾的，不可靠的”，比如说，She's as slippery as an eel. 她像狐狸一样狡猾。Jack也觉得很累，该喝点咖啡休息一下了。这正合Tina的心意，她还想吃一块chocolate chip cookie，巧克力甜饼。Jack听说凯蒂咖啡店刚进了一批牙买加蓝山咖啡。就是Jamaican Blue Mountain。

3. 说到这里呢，我们就来给大家补充一些关于咖啡和点心的知识。由于Jamaican蓝山区域独特的气候、土壤条件，非常有利于咖啡的种植，所以当地出产的咖啡豆，无论香味，酸度都是绝佳的，牙买加蓝山咖啡 Jamaican Blue Mountain也因此成为世界上最顶级咖啡豆的代名词。

4. 还有frappuccino，法布奇诺或者是星冰乐，在后面的对话中也会出现，我们提前在这里说一说，这种冰沙咖啡随着加入不同的糖浆，会产生不同的口味，但是基本上，frappuccino都是由一盎司的浓缩咖啡当底，加入冰块、糖浆、鲜奶油和焦糖酱组成。

5. 还有breva布雷瓦咖啡，是一种意式咖啡，它是以浓缩咖啡，加上一半牛奶、一半奶油混合成的高脂牛奶所调出的咖啡，口感非常细腻。

6. Jack他们来到咖啡店，Tina点了一杯 frappuccino法布奇诺或者是星冰乐，结果被Jack嘲笑说，真是小女孩子的饮料。girly这个词表示“女性化的”，不过这个单词常常给人一种贬义的感觉。比如说，girly calendars，girly magazines，有美女艳照的杂志和日历。Jack点的是蓝山咖啡和一杯低咖啡因的breva布雷瓦咖啡。这回轮到Tina嘲笑她了，满嘴的花俏意大利名字，不过Jack也不示弱，回敬道，难道frappuccino不是意大利名字吗？

7. Jack又要了一份热的帕里尼三明治，就是panini，这种意式三明治也是国外咖啡店常见的餐点，主要是用烤热的意式白面包夹入生菜、洋葱、熏鸡肉或者烤牛肉、烤羊肉等。heat sth up就表示“把...加热，热一下”。

8. Tina说她还是喝自己的女性化饮料就好。be fine with sth 对某事没有意见。比如说，I'm fine with changing the meeting time. 更改会议时间我没有问题。Jack说要继续喝真正的咖啡。stick with sth，坚持...，继续坚持...。He still sticks with his opinions. 他还是坚持己见。

9. 他们拿了咖啡坐了下来。Tina说她知道为什么法洛先生不喜欢他们的广告创意了，因为法洛先生对咖啡一窍不通。don't know the first thing about sth 就是“对某事一窍不通”的意思。也可以说don't know a thing about sth。

10. Jack说没错，因为老是看见他喝速溶咖啡，drink instant。instant就是指“速溶咖啡”，也可以说成instant coffee。还有instant noodles，就是指“方便面，速食面”。所以Tina决定为了改变法洛先生的态度，就要带些凯蒂咖啡店里最好的咖啡给他，再做一次提案。Tina说Let's make him some of Kitty's best and make the pitch again. make the pitch 就是“提案”的意思。不管是要推销想法或是推销产品，这种靠简报来说服人的方式，就叫“提案”，英语里用make the pitch 来表示。我们来用一个对话作例子，---You have all the materials ready for the sales meeting? ---Yes. Let's go make the pitch. ---你准备好这场销售会议上所需的材料了吗？---好了，我们去进行提案吧。

11. Jack不确定仅凭一杯咖啡就能让客户改变心意，a change of heart就是“改变心意，改变主意”的意思。Tina说，不管怎么样，都值得一试。It's worth a shot. shot 可以同时表示“尝试”和一份浓缩咖啡的意思，所以这句话语带双关，表示“值得用咖啡一试。”
